Very disappointed in Alpha Plumbings cost structure. Quoted me $1,850.00 dollars for routine small boiler maintenance which would have taken 3 hours max. Work scope was to 1). Replace 2 x 1/8" air vents. Their cost $659.12. My cost are: parts $ 49.90 for 2 vents plus 10 minutes time. Work required removal old vents, thread in new vents. 2). Replace Thermocouple. Their cost $381.63. My cost are: $28.95 for replacement Thermocouple plus 30 minutes for remove old Thermocouple and install new one. As for their 18 point service inspection for $805.00. Totally unreasonable. It requires air cleaning burners and cabinet, some visual inspection and gas leak check. My recommendation look for alternative service provider or get 3 quotes.read more

I'm extremely pleased with the service. Firstly, in speaking with Paige to set up a service call, she was not only professional but very helpful, calming and funny. One of our renters didn't have hot water for two days, but when I searched and read the fantastic reviews for Alpha, I called immediately to schedule and appointment. Jesse was onsite within a few hours the same day. . He was extremely courteous and very knowledgeable and within the next couple of hours he installed a new water tank.Within two days of the installation , we had issues losing hot water from the bathtub tap. I called alpha once again and Paige quickly organized another onsite visit for the same day, it was beyond amazing to receive such great service!Nathan was onsite within hours as well. Jessie was knowledgeable and helped us fixed the issue with our boiler system. We kept having issues with the boiler going into lockout due to not enough pressure as the pressure kept hitting a high setpoint and releasing the pressure. Rather than tell us to replace parts in hope to fix our issue, he evaluated a few times and proposed and address a couple possible root causes of why our system kept going out. It was fixed and he also noticed some issues with wiring that was done and addressed it as well.read more

I called them for a slow leak I had in my house and they were there first thing the next morning. The plumber, Sheridan was awesome. Very polite and very professional. Fixed the issue in a quick and efficient manner. Compared to other plumbers I would rate the plumber and the company very high and will be using them for a plumbing project (replacing all the shut off valves) over the next year. I recommend them highly. Dan don't burn this guy out he is a very good plumber. After reading all the great reviews about Sheirdan you might have to give him a raise.read more

I contacted Alpha Plumbing to deal with a faulty fire table. I bought this very expensive table two years ago from a retailer that would not stand by its product and washed their hands of it. Sheridan came out and assessed the issue and then Dan did his research and worked with me to find a valve to make the repair. Sheridan worked his magic and now I have my fire table back. The service we received from Alpha Plumbing was exceptional. Our boiler system needed to be replaced shortly after Xmas. Dan was quick to come over and make an assessment of the situation and make a recommendation on a new unit that he thought would be a better fit for the needs of our home. Alpha Plumbing installed a natural gas barbeque for me about a month ago. I wanted to install my barbeque off of the garage, which has a gas line to the furnace; they had a special tool which allowed them to do the job without removing a bunch of drywall or anything. Dan got the job done quickly and very thoroughly - I was impressed that he took the time to caulk the hole in the garage where my BBQ connection went outside. Demonstrates that he does a complete job. I had a suprisingly hard time finding someone who could do what I wanted without tearing apart the wall in my garage, but these guys were up to the task. I contacted Dan at Alpha Plumbing because we needed to replace the hot water tank. Dan came over and provided us with two options; a tankless hot water heater or a regular high-efficiency water heater. We discussed prices and considering the amount of people in the household we decided it made best sense to go with the hot water tank. Dan was very helpful in helping us arrive at that decision. We made arrangements for him to come to the house on a certain day because renovations were starting and other contractors were scheduled right after. Called the service for boiler not heating up. Before schedule the service I called and checked to confirm the cost of $70 was for service call plus diagnose, however, when the guy came it he suggested to perform a service of the boiler which was another approximately $300, the service was to do the boiler multiple points check and found which component failed. Really do not understand why I was told the $70 service fee including the diagnose.read more

Had Alpha plumbing out for a quote to do a bbq quick connect setup. Came very promptly and provided a free quote. The quote was significantly higher than others I have received which lead me to ask what they charged for a 3/4” bbq quick connect, $75! This is a 150% markup on the $30 part from Home Depot. I would understand $45 but $75 is gouging. I mentioned I had quote lower by $100 dollars and I was offered a reduction and could get the work done right away. I declined as I didn’t want to provide my business to a company doing business in this fashion.read more

Dan was great to deal with. We’ve had multiple leaks in our new build and have dealt with different plumbers, and Alpha plumbing is by far the best. Communication was great and Dan was very knowledgeable and thorough and made sure we could properly diagnose the source of the leak before any invasive work was done. Great service, fast and efficient. We had a couple valves replaced and an outside tap replaced. He explained everything before hand then walked me through it afterwards so as there were no surprises. The price was expensive but we had a lot of parts replaced that they needed to supply so it was cheaper then if we'd called another company which we have done in the past. All around great service and very friendly I will certainly call them again for their service.read more

The drain was backing waste water up onto the basement floor, so no plumbing could be used in the house. It’s first thing Monday morning and the usual plumber couldn’t come for two days. At first we were only looking for a spare part for the boiler for our small business. We called several companies and one of them was Alpha Plumbing. Dan promptly answered the phone and promised to call us back in 15 minutes (I never heard back from some of the other companies I called). He called us right back with the positive answer. Dan is the man. We have been in a high-end rental home for about two years now with an extremely complicated, high-efficiency plumbing and heating system. There is so much equipment in that room I honestly don't know what any of it does. What I do know is that something was beeping in a bad way and now it's not. Dan came in, addressed the heating tank and heating units.
